Snow Day

We decided that today would be a day of bare minimum. We did what needed to be done, and took the rest of the day off to enjoy the AMAZING weather, and relax.

The boys took the snowmobile out, and it was zipping around the yard all afternoon.

These three musketeers slid down their hill over, and over, and over, and... well, you get the picture.

Zach, of course, had to show them how it was done. Or in this case, how it is not done.

These smiles melt my heart. <3

Mikey has loved being able to play outside for the past couple of days! He is happy to be able to visit the horses, and he got his first snowmobile ride. :)
All he really wanted to do though, was walk on the snowdrifts, and slide down the snowbanks. I thought he would be so ready to be inside after our long walk around the yard, but he was mad that he had to go in the house. He is definitely still loving the outdoors, no matter how cold!

Family and Friends

Two more sleeps!!
We are all getting excited for you to come home to us!

Yesterday Zach opened his gift. He was pleased (to say the least!) with it! He played his bass all day, we got to listen to songs like "We are the Champions" and "You Really Got Me Now" over and over. :)

Meg came over and spent the day with us. We played ping pong, watched "Say Yes to the Dress", ate cheesecake blizzards, and had a birthday supper for Si Bear.

It's supposed to be Zuma from Paw Patrol. I was to lazy to make black icing, so it looks kinda funny. :)

In the evening, we put the kiddos to bed, and went over to Josh and Becca's for girls night. We had lots of fun (as always)! I forgot to take pictures... so you'll just have to take my word for it. :)

Today we got school and cleaning done, we had some friends over for the supper and the evening, so I made some food for that.

We played "Watch Your Mouth", and did some girl talk. :)

And that's that. :)
Enjoy your last day in Mexico!!

Just What We Needed

The alarm clock rang at 5:00 this morning. We got ready to go and would have been out the door on time... but a cow got it's head stuck in a gate, and it took some time for the boys to get it out of there. So we were a bit late. But only like fifteen min, so it was ok. :)

We had practice, and church. Church was amazing like always. Just what we needed.
We went to the Thiessens afterwards. We had a pizza party, and played hockey. Well... most of us did. :) Some of the kids played for four hours!

Mikey got just a bit spoiled!

It was a WARM (by Manitoba's standards) day today, so much time was spent outside by all. Even Mikey. Shayla was sweet enough to take him for a ride on the sled. He must have played hard because he had a good, 2 hour nap afterwards!

The Thiessens were also just what we needed. :)
It was a good day.

We went to presence night at church once we departed from our friends' house. It was the perfect ending to an amazing day.

We brought Silas home with us for a sleepover with the Aunties and Uncles since Meg is planning on coming out to visit tomorrow. We stopped to get gas on the way and sugar up the kiddos. Then we cranked up the music and danced our way home.

I'll leave you with the pictures of Nate and his gift from yesterday. Zach was supposed to open his today, but it got a little late coming home, so we just decided to do it tomorrow.

Missing you!

Cheers for Saturdays

Saturday. The weekend. Yay!!
Today, we did the least work possible. Which still had us hopping much of the day, but we got some good relaxing time in too. :)

The laundry is missing you mom. Ker and I are both so confused about which clothes belong to which little boy. You may have some re-organizing to do when you get home. :)

Nathan got to open his gift today. He and the boys were playing with his new ping pong table thingy most of the day. I did take pictures of him with his gift, but I am to lazy to upload them right now.

I gave our neighbour boys haircuts, Ker and I gave the girls a makeover, and Ker got us all organized for our early departure tomorrow morning.

This morning I brought Mikey in bed with me, and he picked up the picture of you and Dad. He was so excited to see your faces, and he gave you both kisses. :) Whenever he sees a picture of you mom, he yells "Mommy!". So heartbreaking.

Most of the crew here has already settled into bed, and I should do the same soon. Hope the rain let up for you today and you were able to get that suntanning in! ;)

Wars of the Rubber Band Kind

Another cold day in paradise. :)
Picture for me the scene that is this house right now. Rubber bands flying through the air. "Ouch!",  "Hold your fire!", "I need more ammo!"are mixed in with the snapping sounds that rubber bands make... the war is on.  It's girls against boys right now. I can't tell who is winning. Kerri was the first one to shoot. She has been feeling good! Good enough to kick her brother's butts in a rubber band war. :)

I thought this would be a good time to write a blog post, since my rubber band shooting skills are not that great. Mikey has also joined me in escaping the fray. He is beside me at the table, organizing cards.

Today. School. Cleaning. Workouts.
Mikey is feeling so much better today! He has been getting into everything, and has been cleaning! He found a clean baby wipe and was washing the walls.
Silly kid.

Jesse got to open his gift. He was excited about his robot!!

Jesse, Brooke, and Mikaya decided to make a 'Mystery Meal' for the kids. They were in the kitchen all afternoon making recipes and preparing their menu.

After supper, the party began. The dance party that is, with Zach showing off his best moves.

This was the beginning of the rubber band war, before everyone started running around the house...

A truce has now been called. And it is time to settle into our evening. Soon the popcorn will be popped, and we will all cozy in and watch a movie together.
Friday nights, have I mentioned I love them?
Missing you both!
