The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Christmas.
To our family, Christmas means lots of together time with the family, celebrating the birth of Jesus.
This year, we celebrated with our immediate family and some of Mom's side of the family on Christmas eve. It was a good thing too, because on Christmas day a blizzard began and had us all snowed in.

We had our big Christmas meal for lunch. Of course, per tradition, fried perogies, turkey, and all the trimmings were on the menu; along with a gigantic truffle to top off our already stuffed insides.

Next was time for our (also traditional) Christmas hockey game. That and snowmobile rides filled up the afternoon.

In the evening, we went to see Josh and Becca's kids in a Christmas Eve play. On the way home we stopped to see some Christmas lights. We had a whole van full fa-la-la-la-la and bad dance moves.

We finished the evening off with fondue and the watching of a Christmas movie. We cheered along with elves (I didn't know elves cheered so often) and booed the buffering of the movie. A good time, as always. :)

Christmas Day, I already mentioned, we were snowed in. We spent the entire day in pjs, watching Christmas movies, and in the evening... played some games with our neighbours. Who fortunately are walking distance from our house. :)

Yesterday we had our final family gathering. Dad's side of the family. One final Christmas meal. One final round of games and fun. One more day spent with people we love most.
And now... all Christmas-ed out.

I'll leave you with a few pictures that I took on Christmas Eve. My sister Meg and Becca took a lot more pictures than I did... so check out their blogs for a more visual peek into our family fun.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christmas Past

Christmas eve is always such a blast. Scrumptious Christmas fixings, the nearness of family, the joy that the season brings, the shameless stuffing of faces during our fondue tradition... it is all so amazing. :)

Once again, these pictures I uploaded a long time ago. Please humour me again as we take one last trip down the memory lane of Christmas past.
