Random Peek At Yesterday

Our yesterday.

After church and chatting for a while with friends, we went to our grandparent's for lunch, to celebrate Father's Day. The party was complete with pizza and ice cream cake - and retro pepsi, who's can was so rad that I had to take a picture.

Oh, and... let's celebrate that it was made with REAL SUGAR. ;)

She is even beautiful when she won't smile for the camera. :)

LOOK! It's the dads that we were celebrating!

They apparently were very excited about the food. :)

Grandma's rose bushes are always so pretty. 

This is my favorite time of the year because of all the roses I get to see... and smell. :)

After filling our bellies, and giving some haircuts (just call me... a traveling hairdresser :), we went to the ALH motor speedway to watch some car races.

This Lightening Mcqueen fan was especially excited!

 

And that was our day! 

It was a good one. :) 

Royal Manitoba Winter Fair 2017

Back in March, we took a trip to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in Brandon. Instead of taking pictures this year, I decided to make a vlog to share our experience.

I've gone to the Fair with my family almost every year for as long as I can remember. To me, it will always hold special memories as something that we have done together.

Anyway, here is the vlog...

Adventures with little brothers

Ker had an appointment in town today, and since there were a million errands to run (farmers don't get a lot of free time to shop...), she and I made a day of it. 

We took along these three little boys, and had an adventure.

 

When you are in a car waiting for an errand to finish being run... silly faces are the main pass time. (Little boys are all about them silly faces. :)

   

Toy purchases are a must.

 

We got to hang out with Megan and her kiddos for lunch. 

 

These four had a grand time, eating sugar and making messes. :)

  

Then it was back to errands... and silly faces.

 

 

Of course we had to end our day with a trip to DQ! 

 

My favorite part of the day was listening to conversations that little boys have. 

"I wonder why mom and the girls go for walks and runs all the time." 

"They do it to burn calories so they can eat more food!"

"And because if you eat to much calories, you get FAT!"

Jaden: *Sigh* I am going to be a very hairy man. 

Eli: I am going to be gray and hairy.

The biggest debate of the day was whether your eyeballs move when you move your head. This argument went on for some time, with many exaggerated demonstrations.

It was a fun filled day. :)

A Boy's Birthday

Anyone else out there super excited about the amazing weather that we have been having?

I sure am!

It felt like this winter past would last forever... but here we are, in our summer garb, enjoying the sunshine!

Today is my nephew Brendan's fourth birthday.

It seems like yesterday that we met his sweet little face for the first time, and here he his... all growed up. :)

Becca invited us to roast hot dogs over a campfire to celebrate. 

You may notice from the pictures that some of us are missing, they were working in the fields, seeding time is upon us!

These were his expressions when he saw his birthday present... a new bike!
