2015 Pauls Trip (part 4); Old Tuscon

There were a lot of favourite memories during our trip. But one of my most favourite was our trip to Old Tuscon. If you know me, you know that I love history. And though this video does not show a lot of it... this place was packed full of it! Then there was the fact that I got picked from the crowd to do a studio punch... I mean, what can top that?? :)

The sound on part of the video is messed up, and that was an editing issue on my part. I could fix it and re-upload to youtube, but we have limited internet, so this will have to do! 

The last part of our trip will be a while in coming (due to shortage of internet), so this will be the last video for a time. 

2015 Pauls Trip (part 3); Lazydays Campground

Lazydays Campground. It is like our home away (far away!) from home. I should have taken video of the kids when we pulled in to the grounds, they were quite literally off the wall excited!

This video is of our time spent there. There are many things that we did that didn't get documented with a camera... but you will get the gist of it. :)

2015 Pauls Trip (part 1)

Between Mom, Kerri and I, we gathered over 200 video clips from our recent trip. I knew that I wanted to make some sort of video so that we could look back and remember better than we would with just pictures, I just didn't expect to get quite so much "footage"! :) 

 Anyway, I give you the first of a series of videos of our trip. This first video is about the road trip from Manitoba to Arizona.

In Closing

It feels good to be home. Ya, it is cold here. But I like here.

Last night we got the RV unpacked, I milked my cows, got manure under my finger nails, saw two shooting stars, breathed in the crisp country air, hugged people that I love (and missed!), enjoyed a cozy wood fire, and slept in my own/soft/spacious/warm bed. 

Ahhhhh.

Today there was lots of work to be done. We got all of the potatoes and carrots in from the garden. It feels good to get dirty again. :)

So, our adventure is over! I hope that you all enjoyed coming along on our journey! I still want to post at least once a week... we shall see how that goes. :)

I have a few pictures from the past to blog. I had been organizing pictures and realized that I have some from christmas that I still hadn't edited or shared. I better get that done before Christmas is here again!

Fourteen and Fifteen

We are now safe and sound in Souix City!

We got here about two hours ago after driving all day.

Yesterday we started out bright and early (well, it was early but not bright. :). We had a thirteen hour drive ahead of us and we wanted to beat the heat for the RV's sake. We did have to stop once after climbing a mountain. But other then that she did great!

These pictures below are from when we stopped to give the RV a rest. We are going to miss seeing mountains every day!!

We arrived in Liberal, Kansas close to eight o'clock. What a long day.

This morning we left early again, we wanted to get to the campground a little earlier so that the kids would be able to run around for a bit. Mission accomplished!

It was amazing stepping outside and smelling fall. I missed the sights and smells of falling leaves, and the crisp air.

There is a mini golf course here at this campground, the kiddoes had fun playing on it before supper...

One more big driving day and we are home!!!

Thirteen

Our last day in Tuscon. 

Tomorrow we leave at 5 o'clock in the morning, headed in the direction of home sweet home.

Today we did our usual routine. Except for Mom and Dad walked eight miles for a date, and we partied it up here in the RV. :)

Our sweet camping neighbours bought us pizza for supper. It was such a blessing (and yummy!!).

We are going to miss Arizona and our little home away from home. But we are looking forward to being in our own beds (SPACIOUS beds :) and back with the people that we love. 

Are you tired of swimming pictures?? Well, that is all that I took of from today, so... um, sorry. This will have to do. Goodnight all!

Twelve

We booked a couple of more nights at this campground, so we will leave here early on Monday morning. 

It was very hot here in Tuscon today. Hot enough for us Canadians to remain indoors in the heat of the afternoon.

Needless to say it was a nice relaxing day. :)

We had a campfire in the evening. It was still tank top and shorts weather, so it wasn't very cozy, but still... memorable.
