Day 19 - Caves and Mountains

Today was adventure day.
Some of us decided that they wanted to stay behind and just take a chill day. So Mom, Dad, Jesse, Josiah, Jaden, and myself all took a taxi, and traveled through Chattanooga to our first stop... Ruby Falls.
We took an elevator underground, and by the end of our short hike through the cave we were 1120 ft underground.
Pictures in a cave can never do justice to the beauty of it. But it was amazing!

Ruby Falls

There was an observation deck at the top of the cave. It gave us an amazing view of Chattanooga.

My pops.

We took the scenic route to our next destination, a 30 minute walk along a beautiful, beautiful path. Seriously, you had to be there, it was breathtaking. And I was in fall heaven. <3

The next stop? Lookout Mountain.
See that building at the top in the next picture? We rode an incline train with a 72.5% incline to the top. It was crazy, and scary, but so much fun!

Once at the top of Lookout Mountain, we walked a few blocks to "Point Park", where we learned all about the battles that were fought in the mountains at Chattanooga during the Civil War.
The view was amazing!!

My gun is bigger than your's. ;)

After we rode the incline train back down the mountain, we stopped for a quick dish of ice cream before heading back the the campsite.

And that was the day!
