I made a new friend on Wednesday evening.
It took a while for this little guy to come out of his shell, we ended up having to help him out because he had already been struggling for 24 hours to get out on it's own. The risk in doing this is that the duckling may end up being crippled if he hadn't struggled on it's own long enough, but this time it was a success story and our new baby is healthy and happy.
Unlike chicks, baby ducklings like to have someone that they can adopt as their "mother", and this little ducky has adopted us. He doesn't like to be alone, and when we put him down on the floor he'll follow us around the house and cry until we pick him up again.
This is a picture that Megan took of our baby yesterday.... isn't he just ADORABLE?!?!?!

He doesn't have a name yet... actually we don't even know the gender yet, we won't be able to tell until it is bigger and has feathers. So it's either no name, or a name that could go for both boy or girl. Any idea's?
Love you!
That is so sweet! How about Robin for his/her name?
