Pauls Family Trip ~ Day 7 (November 8)

After a yummy breakfast of peach muffins provided by our kind hosts, accompanying McKenzie as she did her chores, hugs and goodbyes... we were on our way once again.

This time we crossed over into South Carolina.
As we drove the scene changed from cotton fields....

....to palm trees and other huge trees covered in spanish moss whose branches would reach out across the road and create a canopy over the road that we were traveling on.

Pictures couldn't do justice to the beauty!

We also saw the statue of liberty :)

After stopping to get gas, groceries and info, we found and arrived at a campground near the ocean.

By the time we got set up and settled into our spot, it was almost dark.
But we all took a quick walk to the beach to catch what was most of our first glimpse of the Atlantic ocean.
The sights and sounds that surrounded were absolutely amazing and somewhat frightening. The power of the ocean waves were something that we got used to... but were take aback by at the beginning.

We ate supper in the dark. And got settled for the night.
The end :)
